Prepare for a move to Chyve
Bring a clear picture of your current tools, records and responsibilities.
A useful migration plan begins with what your business already uses and what you need to carry forward. The scope should be agreed before changing the systems you rely on.
Make a short inventory
- Your website and its platform.
- Your domain and who manages it.
- Business email and the provider that operates it.
- Products, prices, recipes and inventory records you want considered.
- Ordering, payment, delivery or marketplace connections.
- The people responsible for each account and service.
Do not put passwords or secret keys in this inventory. Establish any required access through the appropriate authorized process.
Identify the records that matter
Describe the records you need, where they are held and what export formats the current system supports. Keep customer and payment information within the agreed scope and authorized handling process.
An export file does not guarantee a complete or automatic import. Agree which fields, history and media can be moved, and how the result will be checked.
Plan continuity
Discuss when changes can happen and how the business will keep operating. Domain, email, ordering and operational records can have different dependencies. Avoid canceling an existing service before the agreed replacement and recovery arrangements are understood.
