Trace stock movements and export records

Follow why a balance changed and choose an export suited to the question.

Updated

Start from the item

Identify the stock item and the period you want to investigate. Compare opening and closing quantities, then review receipts, production use, reservations and adjustments relevant to that period. Keep the selected location consistent throughout the investigation.

Follow the source

Use the movement history and available references to connect a change to its originating purchase, batch or correction. Check the quantity unit and direction of the movement. A valuation entry explains accounting cost; it is not evidence of physical food rotation or a use-by check.

Choose the export scope

Export the supported records that answer your question and check their dates, columns and units. Store the file somewhere appropriate for business data. A settings export may contain configuration rather than the operational movements you need.

Verify and escalate

Open the export and compare a few known entries with the source records. If something is missing, review the filters and permissions before concluding it was deleted. Send support the report scope and references, not an unnecessary full customer dataset.
